4 Last Minute Gift Ideas

You've been invited to a tropical-themed party and you're in need of last minute gift ideas... Fret not, here are four quick and easy tips to transform everyday essentials into stunning and useful gifts!

Gift idea 1: Tropical contained - Pineapple print tote bag

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Step 1: Print out a sketch of a pineapple on an A4 sized paper.

Step 2: Cut out the inner part of the sketch using a penknife or scissors. 

Step 3: Place a cardboard into the bag before painting.

Step 4: Paint over the cut out with yellow and green acrylic paint.

Step 5: Remove the cutout and let the tote bag dry for 10 minutes.  

Gift idea 2: Tropical contained - Mini pineapple prints tote bag

Preparation time: 30 minutes

Step 1: Cut a potato into slices, then lightly pat it on a paper towel to remove excess moisture. 

Step 2: Place a cardboard into a bag before stamping to prevent staining the other side of the bag. 

Step 3: Paint the potato slice with yellow acrylic paint and stamp it onto the tote bag to create oval shapes. 

Step 4: Use green acrylic paint for the pineapple leaves and white acrylic paint for the criss-cross lines inside the oval shapes. Then, let the paint dry for 10 minutes. 

Gift idea 3: Island in a jar- Pineapple body scrub

Preparation time: 15 minutes

Step 1: Blend 1/2 a cup of pineapple for 30-60 seconds.

Step 2: Add in 1/2 a cup of coconut oil to the pineapple puree. Then, pour the mixture into a bowl.

Step 3: Add in 1 and a 1/2 cup of cane sugar to the mixture and stir well.

Step 4: Pour the mixture into a sealable jar and refrigerate it for 1 - 2 hours.

Preparation time: 20 minutes

Step 1:  Cut a potato slice into a semi-circle, then lightly pat it on a paper towel to remove excess moisture. 

Step 2: Paint the potato slice with red acrylic paint and stamp it onto the notebook cover to create the watermelon shape. 

Step 3: Paint the outer side of the semi-circle with green acrylic paint. 

Step 4: Using black acrylic paint, create dots to form watermelon seeds. Then, let the paint dry for 10 minutes.
