Newater is Singapore's alternative and Singaporeans' hope

NEWater is one of Singapore’s four national taps. It is one of Singapore’s success stories that demonstrates determination in turning challenges into opportunities.  NEWater is high-grade reclaimed water and produced from treated used water. It is further purified using advanced membrane technologies and ultra-violet disinfection, making it ultra-clean and safe to drink. Based on the taste test and the information gathered, NEWater is indeed a success. It truly serves as a reliable back up plan for our nation.

Triggered by the negative thoughts towards NEWater, we did a water taste test with five of our team members. We tend to hear remarks among Singaporeans, such as: “There is a funny taste in NEWater.” or “Oh, this is NEWater, no wonder it tastes weird.” Hence, we conducted this taste test to find out if it is a biased misconception towards NEWater.
