The Quarters serve authentic handmade dishes through migrant culture’s cooking techniques, ingredients and spices without losing the true Singaporean taste of our cuisine. They provide a great ambience and setting which makes it comfortable and cosy for diners.
Although it is a little pricey, the unique dishes are worth giving it a try. Some of their famous dishes are the Salted Egg Fries and Duriancanboleh, which was the first creation of the chef/owner, Chung Deming.
Duriancanboleh - $8.50
The Duriancanboleh is a twist of crème brulee to suit our Singaporean taste. The durian custard is creamy with a caramelised crust on the top. The texture is perfect and the taste will make a non-durian lover devour in this delicious dessert.
Salted Egg Fries - $19
The Salted Egg Fries is served with a Salted Egg Aioli Dip on the side. The fries are thin cut but remains crispy despite the duration it is left on the table. It still retains the soft centre without being greasy. Served as a large potion, which is great for sharing, the Salted Egg Fries is basic food, done well. You can purchase their delicious handmade Salted Egg Aioli Dip in bottles for $14.
Wafu Beef Salad - $14.80
Another recommended dish would be the Wafu Beef Salad. A dash of caramelised ginger soy vinaigrette over stripes of grilled, tender, medium rare rib eye steak and fresh spinach leaves, and juicy cherry tomatoes. Relish in the mouth-watering aroma and flavourful taste of the Wafu Beef Salad.
The Bibik's Brownie - $10.80
With a crispy surface and moist center, the Bibik's Brownie is rich in chocolate flavour. The Singaporean twist in this dessert would be the buah keluak ice cream, which includes a mix of chocolate, nuts and berries. If you are a chocolate lover like me, you will most definitely enjoy this dessert.
Ma Jie Indulgence - $18
Ma Jie Indulgence is special spicy chili crab linguine pasta with chunks of crab. The sauce is savoury and sweet with a strong eggy taste to it. This is a great tribute to Singapore’s Chili Crab with a modern twist.
The Shiok Burger - $16
The Shiok Burger is filled with minced pork patty sandwiched between soft buns and presented like a classic burger with rempah spices. It also comes with crispy fries that are soft in the centre.
