What comes to mind when you think of space? Is it the unknown, unexplored vastness of the universe? Do you contemplate existence and how each and every person or object around us came to be? Or do you think of something deeper, more profound?

In the 36th edition of CATCH Magazine, we ponder the different perceptions of space, far beyond the cosmos. We explore outer space, physical space, mental space, timespace, among other kinds of spaces and what they mean to us.

We begin our journey on Uranus, a planet which signifies discovery and self-expression. We sit down with the prominent figures of The Astronomical Society of Singapore to find out about the local astronomy scene, how the society started out and the challenges they face.

Next, we travel to Saturn to scout the concepts of time and creation. In this chapter, we meet Ray Sheng, a university student who takes time out of his busy schedule to manage two food establishments on campus.

We then make a trip to Jupiter to explore the grounds of growth and healing. We learn about healing from physical and mental injuries from Dini, who was involved in a life-changing car accident five years ago, and how she grew from it.

Our last stop of the space trip will be Venus, the planet of love and beauty. We scout out some budget-friendly yet fun locations around Singapore that you can visit with your loved ones!

As we land back on Earth after our adventure, we hope that you were able to gain new insights into the different types of space and start to ponder what space means to you as well. The team wishes you all the best on your personal space journey!

Cheers,
