In the K-pop industry, music isn’t the only thing that’s unique for every idol! Many K-pop idols are also well-known fashionistas.

It is no surprise that their fashion choices will burn a hole in your wallets, so here are some alternatives to get affordable yet stylish clothing!

Doyoung (NCT)

When it comes to minimalistic aesthetic, NCT’s Doyoung got it down to a T. Dressed up in primarily neutral tones, Doyoung experiments with different textures to spice up his style — such as a faux leather jacket or denim pants. Occasionally, he would don a graphic tee or two.

Believe it or not, it’s pretty easy to achieve this look. UNIQLO has a wide variety of simple yet chic shirts. With the help of layering and playing with different colour combinations, you’ll be good to go!

Pair it with a pair of beige pants and you’re good to go!

Joy (Red Velvet)

Not one to shy away from vibrant colours and unique patterns, Red Velvet’s Joy has caught the eyes of many. Ranging from midi skirts to a simple cardigan, Joy’s outfits scream vintage and feminine.

If you’re interested in this style, you could take a look at some Instagram accounts such as @re.drmg that sell preloved clothing. These accounts sell a wide variety of clothing with different prints, making it easy to find something that tickles your fancy!

Switch it up by turning your dress into a skirt. You can even try pairing it with a cardigan or a tank top!

The8 (Seventeen)

Dubbed as Seventeen’s official fashionista, The8 is a force of fashion to be reckoned with. Instead of playing it safe, The8 experiments with many different styles, such as matching a simple overall with an oversized shirt or dressed in a neon outfit.

The best thing about this style is that it’s purely up to you! Experiment with different aesthetics as you figure out your own style. Be it from department stores or online shops, don’t be afraid to go for clothes out of your comfort zone. Who knows, maybe you’ll discover a style that’s uniquely yours!

Try out different patterns. Unleash your inner fashionista!
