“A kaleidoscope is a toy that reflects abstract patterns when rotated. However, there’s more to it than meets the eye.”

In fact, the kaleidoscope can be linked to various aspects of life. And that’s exactly what we did for the 39th edition of CATCH – we uncovered the spectrum, colour, and wonder of the kaleidoscope!

First off, we present individuals who have attained their own definition of success through the section, Iridescence. In conversation with Saints Amongst Sinners, the alternative-shoegaze band talks about their journey making a mark in the local music scene while also giving back with Daycares.

In our section, Prism, we present the diverse ways people interpret various forms of art. We spoke with local fashion writer Weiqi Yap to explore niche career paths in the fashion world.

Looking through the Mirror, our last section, it’s about taking a look at how we perceive ourselves, others, and appearances. Weightlifting enthusiast, Nur Afiqah, shares how the sport has changed her perception on body image.

And these are just some of the highlights. With this issue, we hope that you will enjoy our collection of stories through the eyes of a kaleidoscope. Sending positive vibes along your way!
