“Has my present turned out the way I thought it would be? What does the future have in store for me?”

We have all stumbled upon these questions at some point in our lives, yet no two people share the same response. Our answer continuously differs due to the ever-changing world we reside in, but how do we prepare ourselves? The Future of Now  was born as the CATCH team delved deeper into the dynamism of our unpredictable tomorrow.

In CATCH’s 40th Edition, we celebrate the speed of evolution by learning from the past, embracing the present and welcoming change in the future.

The first stage begins with reinventing essential Elements. Starting from the ground up, we interviewed urban farmers working towards a self-sufficient Singapore while exploring ugly vegetables at Confetti Snacks with locally inspired flavours.

Breaking new boundaries through Innovation, we met with renowned NFT curator, Shavonne Wong, a testament to the advancing art landscape. Creating a world that appears right out of a novel, an architectural educator shows us the possibilities beyond Earth.

With awe and fascination, dive Into The Unknown with us as our cover story, Ava, a virtual influencer, revolutionises scandal-free influencing.

The CATCH team hopes that this issue broadens your horizons and pushes you to dream of a bigger, better and brighter future. As Abraham Lincoln once said, “The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

Cheers to what lies ahead,
